Hello internet.
i know, i know, and i'm sorry alright! sorry for not blogging for sooooo long. it's been three months (wow). this is probably the longest time i left my blog hanging deadless. i've been busy (i know i use that excuse way too much haha) but it's true! i just finished my stressful semester with all the assignments and presentations. it's been a hard four months for me. i'm done with my finals too and honestly all i was aiming for was a pass in the two subjects i performed badly in and i did! so yeah thanks to anyone who helped me with my studies, my friends and mom ofc.
today starts a new day: the first day of semester two. it's like the beginning of the first day in college all over again. you know why? people who are in foundation and international study programmes are lucky because your timetable depends on which group you're in that includes all of your subjects and the time for classes. on the other hand in my course, we have to fight for each subject with each time slot and once it's full, i might've go home at 4pm which is a DREAD. and plus, i have to try to get in every same class with my friends i made in semester one. so you get the idea? okay.
so we managed to all get into the same science class. we discussed it over skype which was pretty intense. i have no regrets on this timetable honestly and i am so glad. i just haven't met my lecturers yet and i sure as hell hope that i get the good ones and not naggy or lazy lecs that don't help you in any way (like most of the teachers in high school). for english and maths, i've been separated from my super good first friend which i guess most of you guys refer to you as 'mushroom' hahaha. no more meeting at the main hall and get surprised how we coincidentally wear the same shirt. no more talking shit in class. i miss her already, so glad we still have science classes together. other than that, it looks like me and her have changed partners for semester two. my mushroom friend is now replaced with yx. i'm not complaining, i'm happy how i still have someone i can count on.
i haven't really been telling you my four months experience as a college student so i'm gonna put some pictures that have a little story behind them. enjoy :-)

4/4 - the origin of the "gang".
we the OG in this gang. with a simple "hey you wanna go eat lunch at sunway pyramid?" and BAAM we friends for life. we went to pasta zanmai. their food not bad btw. you should go try.
8/4 - first visit to friend's dorm.
we were having break time and we kinda got bored of going to the cafeteria so much and going to restaurants outside college was troublesome. we bought some chicken and went back to my friend's dorm to waste time. zr brought me to the fifth floor which is the kinda the "entertainment floor" and i was surprised how much the apartment looked like a freaking hotel. they had a swimming pool, badminton courts, convenience shops and a restaurant (which was pricy lol). nonetheless it's a gorgeous place and i wouldn't mind living here myself.
15/4 - and then there were four.
this picture brings memories haha. i was actually rushing out to meet my high school mate, samantha when i accidentally bumped into 1. my new fresh-made college friends and 2. my brother and his girlfriend. I was getting my keys from my brother to put my stuff in the car but what a coincidence and at that exact time, there was a photobooth set up and my friends totally dragged me there. i was so lucky i met them in such right timing. back home, my brother said something that made me feel so happy. he said: "you know just looking at your sister quickly adjusting to college life and already making friends, it makes me proud." i cri. and i was devastated when i lost the picture but few days after i found it in my bag (but i swore it was gone tho). alot of things disappeared that day haha.
18/4 - swim day.
you just have to have that "high" feeling and you'll float instantly. - sther
thus, the group name "sohigh" was created.
21/4 - first biology experiment
the discovery of plant and cheek cells. i didn't get this result tho haha i totally fail at using the microscope. but look how gorgeous this is!
6/5 - the infamous green tea soba.
i think it's become a tradition that every zr's guest are to be served with green tea soba on their first visit. but hey i was the first one so lucky me haha! thanks for the noodles zr. blessed to find a new friend who would cook for me T_T.

it was a sudden feeling. i just felt like i should step out of my comfort zone and finally do what i couldn't do in high school, standing out. this starbucks hat is one of my tools in making new friends. i got more noticeable with this and became chums with the first dude i ever interacted lol. so yeah wear hats guys! i was known as "starbucks girl" tho lol. well it's better than nothing.

this was when we were trolling our friend by kicking her out and adding her in our group chat again and again. so they're both sabah-rians and we KL people were learning their way of language, pretty intriguing. they taught us a phrase call "sorry no cure" and a new group name was born!
to celebrate new friendships made, we went to HOPP cafe.
13/5 - ukulele strummin'

the famous place in all of sunway, the fake grassy field on the second floor. since we're going to look at the view there, might as well do something fun right? yx just got a brand new ukulele and she wanted to learn how and (lol don't cringe) i knew a thing or two about ukulele i mean like ehblehblehbleh. but then the other gang of friends in our biology class came to join us. and this girl, rachelle was way TOO GOOD at this. we had a singing session with the lingering smell of pizza somewhere bc some class was eating pizza. what a day! and ofc photos. always. photos.
things were all cheeky and fun until.. the war came on.

16/5 - badminton party.
we wanted to try out the badminton court in my friend's apartment. so here we are in our sports gear. we wanted to order mcd's but it had to take about fourty minutes so change of plans.

23/5 - one week dorm living experience.
honestly i loved the dorm life. it's so nice not to wake up at 5:30 in the morning just to go to college. i can just be up fifteen minutes before. eating dinner together with your friends at night and gossiping at midnight mamak stores was definitely memorable. we had our first group grocery shopping and steamboat dinner. i enjoyed the experience.

27/5 - the funny incident.
so my friend got blacklisted from entering my friend's apartment bc she played with the buttons on the elevator and it was caught on camera. her picture was posted on the walls of the guard house which was super hilarious. i'll never forget.
post-update: i found out that i was lied to for half-a-semester and that it was all fake through confession time during our last lunch at afterblack. fkin hell. those two sabah girls and that johor girl.
1/6 - hbd yx.
10/6 - we started to not pay attention in class.
18/6 - saturday maths workshop (vending machine fun).
26/6 - presentation day.

24/6 - the last day.
i incredibly loved miss michelle (my english lec.) and miss lucy (my bio lec.). it's devastating how i didn't get into miss lucy's class in semester two. miss her way too much. and the classmates as well. honestly we were the "favourite class" among our chemistry and biology lecturers. i believe them because the students were actively supportive and friendly and funny af. i should've been more grateful to them. i sincerely miss them.

these months have been crazy fun. i miss being zr's soulmate for life in college since we're seperated now. and meeting january intake students (most of them are nerds btw). i'm not sure if they're on the fun side but nothing beats people in them march intake. luckily i still got in the same classes with most of my gang. but the noises and savage burns we share in the classroom will be missed. i hope everyone's good. sorry for not being social enough. if we were in the same class again, i'm pretty sure i'll open up to you soon enough. cheers to the new semester xx.
